The Tennessee Solidarity Network for Housing & Homelessness

WHO: Anyone who lives or works across the state of Tennessee including people with lived experience of homelessness or housing instability, renters, service providers, faith leaders, congregations, and nonprofits. WHEN: Tuesday, February 21st, 2023

WHERE/WHAT: Nashville, TN. A group information and education session on what to expect when meeting with your elected official will take place on Tuesday morning at Belmont United Methodist Church (2007 Acklen Ave, Nashville, TN 37212) before heading to the State Capitol, followed by group meetings with elected officials throughout the day on Tuesday. Meetings with representatives and senators will take place at the Tennessee State Capitol Building (600 Dr. MLK  Jr Blvd, Nashville, TN 37243) in individual elected official’s offices. We will be reserving a room in the Capitol building where we can gather in between meetings, eat lunch, and debrief. 

ACCOMMODATIONS: For those traveling to Nashville on Monday, February 20th, communal lodging options (think bunk beds and cots with access to bathrooms and showers) will be made available for free at local churches on Monday evening. Breakfast will be provided on the morning of February 21st as well as a box lunch to bring with us to the Capitol. Bus transportation will be provided from Belmont UMC to the Capitol on Tuesday, February 21st.
